YMCA College of Careers is a post-secondary institute sponsored by the Chinese YMCA of Hong Kong. Upholding the motto of “Ever-learning, Ever-growing” for over 25 years, our college has offered courses ranging from short courses to higher diploma programmes in areas of Hospitality studies, Design and Social Science. We are now looking for energetic and self-initiative professionals to teach ANY of the following programmes:

• Certificate in International Gastronomy & Culinary Craftsmanship
• Certificate in International Gastronomy
• Certificate in Culinary Craftsmanship
• Masterclass in International Art of Pastry and Bread Making
• Professional Diploma in International Culinary Arts
• Professional Diploma in Coffee Skills

Required Skillsets:

• Experience of culinary skills teaching within a professional setting;
• Exceptional culinary knowledge and skills specialised in Pastry, Bread, Regional Cuisine, Avant Garde Cuisine, Sugar Art, Chocolate Making and Dim Sum.
• Knowledge of and experience in using a variety of culinary techniques and apply it in the lectures
• Excellent presentation and communication skill

 Required Qualification and Experience:

• Certificate or above in a relevant discipline is preferred
• At least 2 years’ teaching experience in culinary workshop or relevant work experience in related discipline(s)
• Applicants who do not have the required qualification but have substantial experience in the above areas would also be considered

Responsibilities:

• To conduct culinary related lectures and/or workshop
• To assist in maintaining the standard and quality of the training course;
• To attend coordination meetings when necessary;
• To responsible for the preparation of teaching materials in either Chinese or English as required;
• Be responsible for course planning and curriculum development in related discipline(s)
• Keep abreast of market trends and share valuable insights with students
