Kindergarten Teachers

AISL Harrow Schools is going to open a new K-12 school dedicated to Hongkonger children in Qianhai, Shenzhen in September 2023, with a Hong Kong curriculum leading to HKDSE and IBDP at senior secondary.  We are now inviting qualified educators to apply for the Kindergarten Teachers in the following learning areas:

• English (Native-speaking English)
• Others (MOI in Putonghua and Cantonese)

Job Requirements

• Appropriate degree, with Early Childhood Education (ECE) / Early Years Education (EYE) teacher training recognised in Hong Kong or UK, or other equivalent teaching qualification giving QTS. (If teacher training qualification was obtained during the last 3 years, please submit lesson observation records signed by practicum Supervisor when submitting cv.)
• Working knowledge of the Hong Kong Kindergarten Education Curriculum or the EYFS National Curriculum of England, and play-based learning.
• Evidence of relevant and challenging continuing professional development.
• Effective implementation of learning and teaching strategies (including play-based strategies) to achieve appropriately set teaching objectives that are in line with curriculum goals.
• Understanding of how young children develop and learn.
• Ability to work in a way that promotes the safety and wellbeing of children, in accordance with all relevant safeguarding polices and practice.
• Knowledge and experience of how to use of IT effectively in promoting pupil learning.
• Previous experience or knowledge of working with pupils for whom English is not their first language is a bonus.
• Effective communication and engagement with parents.
• Previous experience of working with children is necessary, whether under employment or teacher training.
